Meet the Characters

King Ahab

Selfish and unhappy, Ahab is the evil ruler of the kingdom of Israel. He's very rich, has lots of chariots, and a strong army, but he always wants more.

Queen Jezebel

Ahab's wife Jezebel is wicked through and through. She quickly takes charge in Ahab's kingdom and sets up wicked idols to her false god Baal. Cruel and scheming, she sets out to kill every prophet of God.

Elijah

Elijah is a heroic prophet of God with enough strength and bravery to follow any orders God gives him. Elijah lives out in the desert and mountains. He wears a rough coat made out of camel's heir and a tough leather belt. But even a man of such strong character can become discouraged when up against the evil Jezebel.

Prophets of Baal

Jezebel has 450 prophets of Baal. These evil men perform perverted worship ceremonies which involve strange chants and crazy dances.

Elisha

Elisha is Elijah's follower and side kick. Unlike Elijah, Elisha use to own a large farm and had many servants. When Elijah calls him, Elisha leaves his comfortable life to follow Elijah in his dangerous ministry.

The Widow of Zarephath and her son

The Widow of Zarephath is a good women full of faith and love. When Elijah meets her, she and her son are about to starve to death. God allows Elijah to work a miracle so that they never run out of food, but neither the widow nor Elijah expect the tragedy that awaits the widow's son.
